-carat first book on chart reading
I was in the end surprised by this little book. I have assume from numerous books on technical analysis, but I picked it up because I am forever looking for good entry books on the subject for friends who end up asking me close by technical analysis. And this is now the one I will recommend. I've learned owing to reading a lot and through trial and error that the simpler the procedure the better, and nothing is gained from adding on all kinds of indicators and oscillators. The authors oblige reached the same conclusion and keep things unquestionably simple. They are clearly relying to some stage, and for good reason, on the work of Andrew Lo, from MIT, who has written extremely technical, mathematical papers on various chart patterns and start several of them to be valid. They build barest nicely from one concept to another with lots of charts to ornament their points. Don't be throw off by the listing of 200 pages. This paperback is a very easy and fast read and gets to the application, clearly. I found I was on page 100 in less than an hour and I finished 2/3 of the ticket straight through before deciding to put it down (solitary because I had to go to bed). Outstanding introduction
A terrific introduction to 8 elementary trend patterns, coupled with repetitive exercises forcing the reader to sketch it out him/herself. A very few times I disagreed with the unnamed authors' solutions -- I remember they miss better, stronger patterns. Also the volume implies that if you read and work your way fully you will be able to go out and trade successfully. I suspect that's not the cause.Excellent presentation and exercises. Cheap. A great buy and all right worth the few hours it takes to work completely in all respects. I am a somewhat experienced trader and I learned a lot.

Agreeably written but didn't help me
I am perpetually looking for for a new angle in my day trading strategies. I do some specialized analysis (TC2000) and do my program trading thru Tradestation. I like to run my ideas thru Tradestation to look for usable indicators and signals. I hadn't studied pivot points too much and felt this regulations would bring me "up to speed" on this subject. I ran myriad different variations of pivot points and support defiance levels. Although the book is clearly written and the writer presents the material well, I didn't extract anything gainful out of it.Perhaps FOREX traders have better luck with centre points than I did with the stock market. I saw no correlation in the stocks I pursuit in regards to pivot points, support, resistance, fibonacci levels, etc. After years of computer trading systems, I play a joke on concluded that the market is a random event and vend psychology just can't be programmed.[...]I reread the log very thoroughly and figured out what the...

Introduction to trading using classic system.
Preceding the time when you read this book I would highly approve reading any other with candlestick being the pre-eminent subject. "High Profit Candlestick Patterns" or "Remunerative Candlestick Investing" - both by Stephen W. Bigalow or one of Steve Nison books. The more you be versed about candlesticks patterns and emotions behind them the happier trading decisions you might be reaching.Person's ticket is one of the very few explaining pivot point - very effective tool indeed. Using high closing and low closing doji with swivel point will not make you a perfect trader, but intent allow to avoid disasters being to hasty (or too ravenous ) in your decisions. A Requirement Read for Every Trader!
John Person's basic book, A Complete Guide to Technical Trading Tactics, is a sine qua non read for any trader. When I heard his new book, Candlestick and Turn Point Trading Triggers was published I couldn't intermission to get my hands on it. This book exceeded my high expectations! I now cause a much better understanding of how to use triggers, set-ups and stops combined with candlesticks, pivots and the inspirational average approach. I not only have a stronger catch hold of on candlesticks and pivot points but now I can go way beyond and use Person's proven methods, techniques and formulas in my own trading plan. If you are a salesperson you need to study and implement the knowledge from this superb book.

The nicest for Candlesticks - the BEST and I know
I acquire a few books on candlesticks. I bought others which were cheaper, stable though many reviews pointed towards Nisons' employment. Note that in Australia, we are talking about $35 (other books) compared to $150 (Nison's publication) ... so anyway, after buying many others, and looking all remaining the 'net for info. on Candlesticks, I ran into Nisons' book in a workshop, looked through it and had to have it.It has a LOT LOT LOT more depth than the others. There is more to candlesticks (or any payment movement analysis) than just a bunch of patterns, names, formations ... the other books are far far too blunt. I cannot emphasise this enough. Look at all the other reviews for this lyrics, many many good words said.It is jolly readable, very clear, the examples are excellent, but most valuable are the insights for all the patterns ... that other books wholly do not have. Sure, it costs a bit more than the other candlestick books, but hey, how much small change are you trading? Does an extra 30...

If you bear heard of candlesticks but know nothing about them, look no foster, this is THE book for you. In beautiful form and style, Steve Nison brings you into the incredible of Japanese candlestick charts and patterns. First giving you a fascinating narration of the birth of the futures markets in Japan. Armed with that apprehension, Mr. Nison delves into the "psychology" behind the patterns that develope in the diagram. He provides a thorough explaination of each pattern, down to it's important name, and what to anticipate when the pattern unfolds. Do not use it unexcelled
I came across this register in 1998, read it reread it and memorized all the patterns. THe patterns are stimulating and have meaningful names.I can say that candlesticks be enduring kept me away from losses. But you can hardly make off good money following candlesticks alone.THe continuation patternss are more grave than the reversal patterns. Reversals can be treacherous. Reversals Necessity be confirmed by a break in trend. Indeed candlestics unparalleled can be dangerous. See it for yourself, only 35 percent of hammers are harbingers of a volte-face.YOu have to combine candles with western touching averages.All in all I have purchased hundreds of trading books and threw them in the junk. This is the one I keep and regularly refer to.Candlestics are glorious in calculating stops.
