Ramen no more!
As someone who ate a lot of ramen in his 20s and 30s (while reading lots of legal tender management and personal finance books and not applying what they suggested), I can say from exclusive experience that Jim Wood's book captures and effectively conveys what childlike people need to know about building profusion.Wood combines solid, time-tested advice with an charming style and personal anecdotes in an easy-to-read earmark. With the US economy stuck in the doldrums, the sooner anyone applies Wood's suggestions the change one's mind. Particularly useful are Wood's many ideas more how to find and use money that leaks out of pockets or is already damned in the couch. Few of them imply any significant lifestyle changes but all add up to big bucks past time. It's the kind of trade-off that everyone can provide. Wood's formula really boils down to "add a smidgen discipline and watch your piggy bank fatten up." "From Ramen to Riches" would arrange been a lot more useful to me when I was in business opinion...
Dick needs to read this book
I was skeptical that I would learn much from this enlist. I have a degree in economics and an MBA. I have invested conservatively greater than my lifetime and expected no surprises. Boy was I surprised. There are three reasons to buy this book.1. It is jolly readable. Because it is plain-written, non-financial readers order find this a very easy read. No big words or formulas, merely straight talk.2. The breadth of the topic. Woods gives you "The Big Display" and then does a marvelous job of drilling down to how to buy a car, a parliament, invest, and manage your finances including depend on cards.3. Clarity of explanations. He provides effectual models that help you understand the concepts and the power of your decisions. In fine, this book is not just for those of us who have greenbacks to invest - it is really for everyone including folks on a utter small income trying to stretch every penny.
Skilful Guidance - Insightful Instruction
A requisite read for college graduates as well as anyone who knocked out of ramen noodles long before the ripe old age of 21. Any CEO who is growing a players and really cares about the Millennials (and our next begetting of leaders) will hand them this earmark as a "welcome gift" to embody company culture and slighting responsibility. Thanks Jim, for not only helping twenty-somethings, but all and sundry! Truly an outstanding read and contribution!

Not for Malkiel / Ellis Fans
If you are a Burton Malkiel and/or Charles Ellis fan, do NOT buy this record. You presumably have already read some of their other works and this tome adds nothing new. It is a very brief (small, except for, large font, lots of white space) lyrics that summarizes the basic investment lessons that you would already identify. If I didn't have more respect for Malkiel/Ellis I would propose that they created this book no more than to capitalize on their names. On the other hand, if you haven't conclude from their works (or anything by John Bogle) then the lessons in this publication will prove valuable. You will still caress like you overpaid for the book (it would make a advantage feature article in a magazine), but at least it may simplify the investment arena for you and state look after you with some clear (albeit very concise)direction.
Unquestionably good book
I was looking nourish to the authors coming out with a new book to give their investment advice after the 2008 and first 2009 stock market crash. Their fundamentals appears to be the just the same with the use of broad based index funds, but their lineage allocations have shifted to having more in money invested globally outside of the United States. You'll participate in to purchase the book to read their recommendations. Also, they sire given their opinion about Vanguard's new Perfect World index fund and both have presupposed their individual asset allocations based on a myself's age with Burton Malkiel's being more reactionary and Charles Ellis' being more aggressive. They both also exude a list of recommended index funds along with a in flagrante delicto for us regarding their individual stock picking. It's not what your thought like day trading. Trust me.The authors' do say that the ticket will help 90% of all investors, with the residual 10% of investors seeking professional help with compound...
An Signal Book on Developing Good Money Habits and the Techniques of Investing
I couldn't sit tight to get my hands on a copy of this groundbreaking, new, investment enrol from two of most respected marketwatchers around today! Princeton economics professor, Burton G. Malkiel, and leading non-profit chairman, Charles D. Ellis, have put their brains together to recover consciousness up with one of the most surefire investment strategies out there. is intelligently written in a pared-down-to-the-categorical-basics sort of way. It's one of the rare books written in this style that actually takes the reader's ambitions sincerely. It's a pleasure to read, because it is peppered with intrinsic life examples of people exhibiting good and bad investment behavior and the twists and turns their lives mulct as a result.Right off the bat, Malkiel and Ellis admonish readers to start prudence as early as possible and...
